About

Jessie Cohen is a French visual artist and designer currently based in London, whose ambition is to create art as a vehicle for self-expression. As a multicultural artist living in a world where cultures are constantly shifting and identities being redefined, she realises the value of keeping an open mind to cultural diversity through her practice, and how this can allow for richer, fuller and more creative life experiences.

Over the past two years since launching, Jessie’s appetite for experimentation and collaboration has translated into collections for Chromakane which span various mediums. This phygital approach, which combines physical & digital art experiences, allows art enthusiasts and collectors to experience Chromakane through innovative new lenses and channels – from print and tattoo to digital and augmented reality.

Chromakane is committed to reducing her environmental footprint and doing better through conscious decision-making. From working with reclaimed, recycled or archival quality materials for her fine art, apparel and accessories, to choosing transparent and ethical business collaborations over fast consumerism, awareness matters. Chromakane believes that, as much as new sustainable processes may be celebrated, the most conscious production line is one which doesn’t overproduce. Better yet, one which hasn’t produced yet. This is why Chromakane is excited to be working on collections which limit or eliminate waste altogether – from digital fashion and augmented reality experiences to product lines which are entirely drop shipped through trusted partners.

Since launching Chromakane in 2020, Jessie has grown through partnerships with a number of galleries, retailers and clients around the world – including artrepublic, Gent London, MIRL Club, Rise Art, The Artling, Twitter and Vault Hill. She is also raising awareness of the value of creative therapy through her art practice, as an ambassador and volunteer designer for Art Is The Cure CIC.
